Priced at just $45, the Argus DC 1730 has a small (1 inch-by-3/4 inch) color liquid crystal display, 8 megabytes of internal memory and an automatic flash. With a top resolution of just 640-by-480 pixels, this digital shooter isn’t your best bet for prints, but it should work fine for capturing photos for e-mail messages or Web pages. Powered by two AA batteries, the camera also records short videos and connects to Windows PCs via a Universal Serial Bus cable. It ships with ArcSoft PhotoImpression software.
