Festival of the Spirit opening gala beginning at 6:30 p.m. followed by the film, “Say Amen, Somebody,” at 8 p.m. and a discussion, Thursday at the Panida Theater in Sandpoint. A season’s pass for this entire film festival can be purchased for $25, or they are $5 adults, $3 children and senior citizens. This is presented by the Morning Light Foundation, a nonprofit organization. Information: 263-9191.

“A Christmas Carol” Opens Friday at the Lake City Playhouse, 1320 E. Garden Ave. This is a one-act family play adapted from the Charles Dickens novel.
