“A Christmas Carol” – Continues at the Lake City Playhouse, 1320 E. Garden Ave. This is a one-act family play adapted from the Charles Dickens novel. Additional performances Thursday through next Sunday and Dec. 16-19. Show times are 7 p.m. Thursdays, 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, and 2 p.m. for the Sunday matinee. $14 adults, $12 students and seniors and $8 for children. “Festival of the Spirit” – Today’s events include the film “Baraka,” at 3 p.m., a panel discussion: “Spiritual Search in Our Time,” at 5 p.m. and “Ram Dass: Fierce Grace,” film with discussion by director Mickey Lemle at 7:30 p.m. All films are $5. Information: 263-9191.

Breakfast and Healthy Snacks – The University of Idaho Extension Nutrition Program, is offering this free class on nutrition to recipients of food stamps or other Health and Welfare programs, Monday at 2 p.m. in the Health and Welfare office, 1120 Ironwood Drive. Information: 446-1680.

Auditions for “Jesus Christ Superstar” – Monday through Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. at the Harding Family Center, 411 N. 15th St. This is a Lake City Playhouse production, and will be directed by Noel Barbuto. Have one or two prepared songs and bring sheet music. Needed are one woman, six men, and 25-30 in the chorus, all ages. Information: 667-1323.

Holiday Wine Festival – from 6-9 p.m. Monday at Beverly’s in the Coeur d’Alene Resort, to benefit the North Idaho College cheerleading squad. $20. Tickets are available at the NIC athletics office or from any cheerleader. Must be 21 or older to attend. Information: 769-3348.
