VC shuts down Reardan

Valley Christian held Reardan scoreless in the third quarter to earn a 30-22 Bi-County League girls basketball win at Reardan on Tuesday.

Emily Oliver led the Panthers with nine points in the defensive battle.

Davenport 55, Northwest Christian 48: The Gorillas took the lead in the first half and held on to earn the win at Colbert. Mallory Mielke and Kaylee Semprimoznik scored 15 and 14 points, respectively, to lead Davenport. Marinda Malott had 11 points and 8 rebounds to lead the Crusaders. … Sprague-Harrington 61, Odessa 40: The Falcons combined 23 steals and 31 Odessa turnovers into the home-court win. Sprague-Harrington also took a 40-30 edge on the boards. Abby Hatten’s 21 points led Sprague-Harrington.

Wellpinit rolls over Lions

Wellpinit had four players score in double figures en route to a 76-29 win over visiting Columbia. Samantha Flett and Jessica Keiffer each had 16 points and Keiffer added a game-high 14 rebounds for Wellpinit. … Curlew 57, Republic 45: Nicole Miller tossed in 25 points, Kady Kirkendall added 19 points, eight rebounds and five steals and April Barkley contributed 11 points as the Cougars turned away the visiting Tigers. … Cusick 61, Selkirk 41: Misty Ostlie tossed in 20 points, hitting 9 of 10 free-throw attempts, and Kimberly Bluff added another 18 points and nine rebounds as the Panthers roared to a home victory over the Rangers. Cara Shepherd added 17 points and 10 rebounds for Cusick. Brittany Haney and Chelsi Shaw each contributed 12 points for the Rangers. … Inchelium 73, Northport 26: The Hornets built a 38-14 lead in the first half and continued to roll in the second in an easy win over the host Hornets. Chelsi Pakootas and Melissa Dick each tossed in 11 points to lead Inchelium, with Destiny Christianson adding another nine.

Johnson holds off Colton

Wynonna Johnson collected 14 points, 13 rebounds, seven steals, six assists and a pair of blocks to lead Lakeside to a 48-40 non-league victory over Colton at Plummer. Corrina Hendrickx contributed 17 points, five steals and a pair of assists. … St. John-Endicott 61, Dayton 52: Katie Corder connected on 10 of 11 shots to score 22 points and lead the Eagles to a victory over the host Bulldogs. Jessiann Loomis added seven points and seven assists. … Freeman 79, Deer Park 49: Ashlee Taylor pumped in 16 points and grabbed nine rebounds, and Jessie DePell and Melissa Baker each chipped in 11 points as the Scotties spanked the Class 2A Stags at Freeman. Laura Gibson paced Deer Park with 15 points. … Chewelah 72, Kettle Falls 53: Sara Scates scored 20 points and dished off four assists to lead the Cougars to a victory over the visiting Bulldogs.
