Holiday Better Book Sale Today at the Plaza Shops during regular business hours, presented by Friends of the Coeur d’Alene Public Library. Previously read hardback and soft-cover books in like-new condition will be available to purchase.

Really BIG Raffle Tickets are now on sale for the 12th annual event. Tickets are $100 and only 4,500 will be sold for the grand prize $200,000 custom home built by the North Idaho College Carpentry Program. Proceeds benefit educational needs at NIC. Information: 769-3271.

Holiday Light Show continues through Jan. 3. More than a million and a half lights are on display and are best viewed from a Fantasy Cruise to the North Pole. The 40-minute cruises depart at 4:30, 5:15, 6, 6:45, 7:30, 8:15, 9 and 9:45 p.m. from the Third Street Marina. Cost: $11.75 adults, free for ages 10 and under. Information: 765-4000.

Mark Rypien to appear at Zi-Spa – Join the Superbowl XXVI MVP Monday from 4-9 p.m. as he autographs NFL footballs with all donations going to the Mark Rypien Foundation, which supports local activities and research associated with children with cancer. Specialized Needs Recreation Camp Allstars “Winter Break” Day Camp Camp begins Monday through Dec. 31 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. The cost is $10 a day, and some scholarships are available.
