Steve Francis scored 29 points, seven in a late game-breaking run, and the Orlando Magic snapped a seven-game losing streak to San Antonio by beating the Spurs 93-87 on Wednesday night in Orlando, Fla.

Hedo Turkoglu added 16 points, and Grant Hill had 13 for Orlando.

Tony Battie had nine points and 11 rebounds, and his defense on Tim Duncan kept the two-time Most Valuable Player from being a factor down the stretch.

Chauncey Billups led all scorers with 32 for the Pistons.

Hawks 113, Mavericks 100: At Atlanta, Antoine Walker scored 25 points, and the Hawks snapped a five-game losing streak by beating Dallas.

The Pacers led by five with just more than six minutes to play, but Philadelphia closed the game with a 19-2 run – helped by two technical fouls from Jamaal Tinsley.

Bobcats 90, Rockets 87: At Houston, expansion Charlotte won on the road for the first time, getting 21 points and 11 rebounds from rookie Emeka Okafor in a victory over the Rockets.

Jason Kapono added 16 points for Charlotte, a loser in its first 10 road games. The victory gave Charlotte a sweep over a team many once believed would be among the NBA’s elite. The Bobcats defeated the Rockets 101-100 in overtime on Saturday.
