But until they have kids, it will just be puppy love

This time, Britney Spears says she’s marrying for love. “Marrying Kevin (Federline) was the last thing I was thinking about doing,” Spears tells People magazine. “But then I said, ‘You know what? This is my life, and I don’t care what people think. I’m going to get married. I’m in love with him.’ ”

Spears, 22, began dating the 26-year-old dancer a few months ago, after her Las Vegas wedding to childhood friend Jason Alexander in January. That marriage was annulled 55 hours later.

“That thing was a total ugh,” she says. “I was not in love at all.”

As for Federline, she says: “I’d known for a while that he’s the one. I kissed a bunch of frogs and finally found my prince. I feel like I’ve found my happily ever after.”

Federline — who performed as a backup dancer for Justin Timberlake, Spears’ former frog, er, boyfriend — has a 2-year-old daughter with Shar Jackson (TV’s “Moesha”), and they’re expecting another baby.

“I plan to meet his daughter,” Spears says. “I love little ones. I think the situation is good.”

While she wants children of her own someday (“four or five”), Spears says: “We’re starting with a dog. I just got a Maltese named Lacy.”

The pop, the rock … she has it all

A few further details on the Britney Spears engagement:

• Fiance Federline popped the question on an airplane while flying with Spears from Ireland to New York after the European leg of her tour.

• She’s wearing a five-carat diamond set atop two slender platinum, diamond-encrusted bands.

• The tentative wedding date is Nov. 20.

• According to TV’s “Extra,” Spears is beefing up security because Federline has been receiving death threats and might have a stalker.

Something else for Britney to look forward to

And what does Shar Jackson think of all this?

“After I meet (Britney) and everything’s cool, we can be one big happy family,” she told “Access Hollywood,” adding: “There’s life after Kevin, and I’m living it!”

It’s all about the kids, man

Nicole Kidman says she’s not getting back with ex-hubby Tom Cruise, though the two are vacationing together in Australia this summer with their children.

“That whole part of my life is over and done with,” she tells Now magazine. “We’ll always be in contact because of our children. But I’m single and there’s no one out there for me at the moment. … I’m a 37-year-old woman with two children. Men aren’t beating a path to my door.”

Camilla’s staff shall comfort her

For the first time, Prince Charles‘ financial records mention his longtime companion Camilla Parker Bowles.

The accounts published Wednesday show that Parker Bowles has three paid employees.

“There are two ladies who deal with the hundreds of letters she gets — requests for her to do this and that. They both work part time,” a spokesman said. “There’s also someone to drive her car or help in the garden.”

Question: Which one best describes Charles?

Still no word on when the next Harry Potter book comes out, but J.K. Rowling has announced a title on her Web site: “Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince.”

A previous posting had led some fans to believe it would be called “Harry Potter and the Pillar of Storge.”
