Monday closures for July 4 holiday

Government offices and other services will be affected by the Independence Day holiday on Monday: Banks: Most banks will be closed, although some branches in grocery stores will be open. Buses: Offices will be closed Monday. Bus routes will operate on Sunday/Holiday service schedules. Garbage: No service in Spokane, Spokane Valley, Liberty Lake and other portions of Spokane County served by Waste Management services. Offices will be closed Monday. Collection will run one day late the rest of the week. Normal service will resume July 12. Government: County offices will be closed, and no meetings are scheduled Tuesday. Spokane, Spokane Valley, state and federal offices are closed. City swimming pools and golf courses will be open. Libraries: All city and county branches will be closed. The Shadle and South Hill branches also will be closed Tuesday. Liquor stores: All stores will be closed Monday. Mail: No mail service Monday. Parking meters: Meters are free Monday.
