RiverHawks swoop past Royals

Eric Cannon walked with the bases loaded and Matt Robinson hit a two-run double as the Spokane RiverHawks scored six runs in the fourth inning en route to a 9-5 Pacific International League win over the Victoria Royals Monday at Spokane Falls Community College.

Cannon, who finished 2 for 3 with a pair of RBIs also singled in a run in the second inning. B.J. DuBarry went 2 for 5 with a pair of runs scored.

Dan Lundberg went the distance for the RiverHawks and got the win, despite allowing five runs on 15 hits. He struck out five and walked none.

Spokane returns to action today, hosting the Royals again at SFCC. First pitch is slated for 5 p.m.
