Elizabeth ‘Betty’ (Lagerveld) Bauer

Sagle, Idaho

Service for Elizabeth Matilda “Betty” (Lagerveld) Bauer, 92, will be today at 10 a.m. at the Sandpoint First Presbyterian Church with burial to follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Sandpoint. Lakeview Funeral Home in Sandpoint is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Bauer, who was born in Paterson, N.J., died Wednesday.

She grew up in Paterson and attended Sunday school at the Union Reformed Church and as a young lady learned to cook, knit, crochet, embroider and tat.

Mrs. Bauer moved to Colesville, N.J., in 1932 and taught Sunday school and played the organ at the Methodist church. She married there in 1938 and moved to Pequannock, N.J., in 1957.

She served as an elder at Pequannock Reform Church and worked for 22 years as a cook for the state of New Jersey.

She retired to Sandpoint in 1972 to be near family.

Mrs. Bauer served as an elder at the Sandpoint First Presbyterian Church and was active in the choir, women’s meetings, sewing circle, fellowship dinners and quilting for missions.

She was a 22-year member of the Bonner General Hospital Auxiliary and past president and treasurer of the AARP.

She attended the Sandpoint Senior Center and was a member of the Westmond Grange and won several blue ribbons for her handwork.

Survivors include two sons, Brian Bauer of Sagle and Warren Bauer of Olympia.; a brother, Maurice Lagerveld of Newfoundland, N.J.; eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Patricia (Isaacson) Tillotson

Coeur d’Alene

Graveside memorial service for Patricia Louise (Isaacson) Tillotson, 77, will be today at 1 p.m. at Woodlawn Cemetery in St. Maries. Yates Funeral Home in Coeur d’Alene is in charge of arrangements

Mrs. Tillotson, who was born in St. Maries, died Thursday.

She married Elmer Tillotson in 1945. They later divorced.

She spent most of her life in Fernwood, Idaho, and also briefly lived in Superior, Mont., and Newport, Wash.

She lived in Coeur d’Alene for the past 25 years.

She enjoyed the outdoors.

Survivors include her son, Jim Tillotson of Golden Valley, Minn.; two daughters, Geraldine Riffel of Oldtown, Idaho, and Carla Robinson of Gresham, Ore.; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Donald Everts

Coulee Dam

No service will be held for Donald W. Everts, 83, at his request. Strate Funeral Home, Grand Coulee, is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Everts, who was born in Seattle, died May 20.

He grew up and attended school in the Ballard area, graduating from Ballard High School.

He married Constance Paulson in Seattle, and they continued to live in the Seattle area until moving to Coulee Dam in 1951.

Mr. Everts worked for the U.S. Parks Service for several years in park maintenance. He retired in the early 1980s. He also briefly worked for Boeing.

He was a former Coulee Dam school board member.

He enjoyed fishing and flying airplanes.

Hs wife died earlier.

Survivors include two children Pam Ridlington of Mead and Terry Everts of Sequim, Wash.; and two grandsons.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.

Mabel Wayerski

Spokane

Vigil for Mabel Wayerski, 96, will be today at 7 p.m. at Hennessey-Smith Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Cathedral.

Mrs. Wayerski, a lifelong resident of Spokane, died Thursday.

She was a homemaker and enjoyed traveling and playing bridge.

She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Cathedral.

Her husband, Ben, died in 1956.

Survivors include a son, Ronald Wayerski, and a daughter, Shirley Carnell, both of Spokane; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
