Newlywed J.Lo gets high fives from her old flames
Jennifer Lopez‘s former lovers were all smiles — in public, anyway — after her surprise Saturday wedding to fellow singer Marc Anthony. “If she’s in love with somebody and that makes her happy, I’m happy for her,” hip-hop mogul Sean “P. Diddy” Combs, who had a high-profile, two-year relationship with Lopez, said on “Access Hollywood.”
Whatever happens, he added, “That’s my girl for life.”
Dancer Cris Judd, Lopez’s second husband, said on the same show: “I wish her and Marc the best and hey, if it’s true to her heart then by all means.”
And the man who could have been husband No. 3, Ben Affleck, gave the union “two thumbs up,” according to US Weekly
Lopez was first married to waiter Ojani Noa in 1997, for a little more than a year. The 34-year-old singer-actress also was engaged to Affleck, her “Gigli” co-star, but amid a huge media frenzy they canceled their plans in September 2003 and broke up in January.
Anthony, also 34, just divorced former Miss Universe Dayanara Torres last week in the Dominican Republic.
Sounds like Affleck hit the Ben-Enza
Ben Affleck, meanwhile, had to look no farther than his hometown of Boston for his new love: Enza Sambataro, a 26-year-old television sales executive who bears more than a passing resemblance to Lopez. They met at a bowling alley, had their first date at a Red Sox baseball game and spent Memorial Day with her parents.
Sambataro, who is said to have recently broken up with a guy in Spain, is a Boston College grad who speaks three languages and plans to run in the Chicago Marathon.
He’s just trying to pick Berry’s pocket
Halle Berry‘s ex-husband, Eric Benet, is apparently planning to make the Oscar-winning actress fight for a divorce settlement.
Berry split with the singer last year after trying to come to terms with his cheating and sex-addiction problems and filed for divorce last month. In newly filed court papers, Benet is asking for spousal support.
These days, Sarah’s stylin’ in the city
Sarah Jessica Parker, known for her penchant for Manolo Blahnik stilettos and Oscar de la Renta party dresses on TV’s “Sex and the City,” was toasted Monday night as this year’s fashion icon at the Council of Fashion Designers of America awards in New York Cty.
Designer Donna Karan received a lifetime achievement award at the ceremony, which featured a performance by this year’s “American Idol” winner, Fantasia Barrino.
In other words, Eminem has been eclipsed
A shot of rapper Eminem mooning the audience at MTV’s 2004 Movie Awards on Saturday will be cut when the ceremony is broadcast on the cable music network Thursday night.
Producers for MTV, which was slammed for producing Janet Jackson‘s infamous breast-baring Super Bowl halftime performance, initially talked of blurring out his backside but decided to edit it out altogether.
If you drink, don’t dive — er, drive
Former “Baywatch” star David Hasselhoff was arrested over the weekend on suspicion on driving while intoxicated, police said Monday.
The 51-year-old actor, who also starred in the 1980s series show “Knight Rider,” had checked himself into the Betty Ford Center for treatment of alcoholism in 2002.
