Area residents complete basic military training

Area residents have graduated from basic training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio. They are listed with their rank, parents’ names and high school and college alma maters.

Air National Guard Airman 1st Class Nathan R. Leitz is the son of Cathy Curtis of Waverly and Steve Leitz of Latah. He is a 2000 graduate of Liberty High School, Spangle.

Air Force Airman Robert J. Stokes is the son of Carole Beck of Newman Lake and is a 2001 graduate of Central Valley High School.

Air Force Reserve Airman 1st Class Kenneth L. Kassner is the grandson of Cass and Irma Kassner of Spokane and is a 2002 graduate of Shadle Park High School.

Air National Guard Airman 1st Class Paultien T. Nguyen is the son of The Huynh of Spokane. He graduated from Shadle Park High School in 1993 and from Gonzaga University in 1998.

Air Force Airman Jason D. Westberry is the son of Sandra and W. Felton Westberry of Spokane and is a 2003 graduate of Barker High School.

Air Force Airman Jaymes Judd is the son of Jerry Judd and Mitzi Judd of Spokane and is a 2003 graduate of North Central High School.

Air Force Reserve Airman Jason R. Eschette is the son of Casey Eschette and Travis Eschette of Spokane and is a 2001 graduate of Central Valley High School.
