Jackson propels Storm past Sun

Lauren Jackson scored 22 points and Kamila Vodichkova added a season-high 18 to lead the Seattle Storm to a 68-63 victory over the Connecticut Sun on Friday night at Seattle.

The Storm improved to 4-0 at home this season.

Katie Douglas and Asjha Jones added 13 points apiece for Connecticut.

Deanna Nolan scored 10 of her 19 points in the final 4 minutes to lead visiting Detroit to a 74-60 victory over Washington… . Tamika Catchings scored four of her 17 points in the final 14 seconds to lead Indiana to a 72-68 victory at New York, snapping the Liberty’s six-game winning streak… . At Phoenix, Tammy Sutton-Brown had 18 points and seven rebounds to lead Charlotte past the Mercury 59-51, snapping the Sting’s four-game losing streak… . At Los Angeles, Katie Smith scored 18 points for Minnesota to become the fourth WNBA player to score 3,000, but Lisa Leslie’s 19 points and 17 rebounds led Los Angeles to a 69-55 win over the Lynx.
