Seahawks start camp Aug. 2

CHENEY, Wash. — The Seattle Seahawks open their eighth consecutive summer training camp at Eastern Washington University on Aug. 2.

The camp will run through Aug. 25, and practices are open to the public.

Eastern and the Seahawks signed a contract this spring which returns the team to EWU’s campus for the next three summers. The Seahawks also held training camp at EWU between 1976 and 1985.

Ron Sperber, Eastern’s liaison to the Seahawks summer camp, said NFL Experience exhibits for children will also return.

The schedule for Seahawks practices at EWU, with times subject to change:

•Aug. 2, 8:45-11 a.m. and 2:45-4:45 p.m.

•Aug. 3, 8:45-11:15 a.m. and 2:45-4:45 p.m.

•Aug. 4, 8:45-11:15 a.m. and 2:45-4:45 p.m.

•Aug. 5, 8:45-11:15 a.m. and 2:45-4:45 p.m.

•Aug. 6, 8:45-11:15 a.m. and 2-3 p.m.

•Aug. 7, no practice, scrimmage in Portland.

•Aug. 8, 8:45-10:45 a.m. and 2:45-4:45 p.m.

•Aug. 9, 8:45-11:15 a.m. and 2-3 p.m.

•Aug. 10, 8:45-11:15 a.m. and 2:45-4:15 p.m.

•Aug. 11, 8:45-11:15 a.m. and 2-3 p.m.

•Aug. 12, 8:45-11:15 a.m. and 2:45-4:15 p.m.

•Aug. 13, 8:45-11:15 a.m. and 2-3 p.m.

•Aug. 14, 8:45-11:15 a.m. and 2:45-4:15 p.m.

•Aug. 15, no practice, team travels to Green Bay.

•Aug. 16, no practice, preseason game at Green Bay Packers.

•Aug. 17, no practice, team off.

•Aug. 18, 8:45-11:15 a.m. and 2-3 p.m.

•Aug. 19, 8:45-11:15 a.m. and 2:45-4:15 p.m.

•Aug. 20, 10-11 a.m.

•Aug. 21, no practice, preseason game in Seattle vs. Denver Broncos.
