Suppose that both of them got down on one knee?

Don’t look now, but Britney Spears might be ready to walk down the aisle again — bad knee and all. The pop tart, who had to call off her current tour due to a knee injury, moved dancer boyfriend Kevin Federline into her New York and Beverly Hills homes after her arthroscopic surgery.
Now the buzz is that Federline has popped the question and Spears is said to have accepted his offer.
“Kevin was with her throughout the whole surgery and by her side the whole time,” said Spears’ rep, Leslie Sloane Zelnick. “She’s pretty lucky to have him, but I don’t know if she’s engaged or not.”
Federline has been Spears’ constant companion ever since they hooked up two months ago, joining her for dates on the European leg of the tour. He was immediately smitten by Spears although he already has one child with “Moesha” star Shar Jackson, who is now pregnant with another.
It wouldn’t be the first time the Louisiana-born singer has moved quickly with a man. In January, she had a quickie wedding — followed by a quicker divorce 55 hours later — to hometown pal Jason Alexander.
To him, the news was a J.Lo. blow
Ben Affleck may have been gracious in public over the news that former fiance Jennifer Lopez married her new Latin lover, fellow singer Marc Anthony.
But privately, it seems, it was another story.
“At first, Ben was shocked, sort of bowled over, like he’d been run over by a truck,” an Affleck insider told IMDB.com.
“He couldn’t believe it … only five months after the split. It’s like pouring salt in the wound.”
Potholes keep Courtney off the road
Rocker Courtney Love has called off her scheduled tour dates through July so she can focus on her mounting legal troubles, including a felony drug case and an alleged assault with a liquor bottle.
“Love has chosen to take this time to privately address the frivolous, malicious complaints and legal matters that have plagued her this spring,” her publicist said in a statement.
And now, the great wail of China
Whitney Houston, fresh out of drug rehab, will make her debut concert appearance in China with a July 22 show in Shanghai.
“Whitney has said that China is her favorite country, so it will definitely be an emotional show,” the concert’s sponsors said in a news release.
Houston is widely known in Asia for her rendition of “I Will Always Love You,” from the movie “The Bodyguard.”
Kim could be the roamin’ type, too
A federal judge has blocked rapper Lil’ Kim from performing at a music festival on the Caribbean island of St. Kitts — no real surprise, since she’s barred from leaving the United States as part of a bail agreement in a shooting case.
Kim’s lawyer, Mel Sachs, argued the singer was not a flight risk. “Your Honor, this is a well-known performer,” he said.
“Tell that to Roman Polanski,” replied Judge Gerard Lynch, referring to the Oscar-winning director who fled the United States after he was charged in 1977 with having sex with a 13-year-old girl.
