All Monica’s really asking for is a fair affair shake

Monica Lewinsky says she feels betrayed by Bill Clinton‘s failure in his new memoirs to acknowledge how he destroyed her life. Lewinsky told British broadcaster ITV she was “really upset” when she first heard of Clinton’s recent remark on “60 Minutes” that he had the affair “for the worst possible reason — because I could.”

“I have spent the past several years working so hard to just move on, and to try and build a life for myself,” said Lewinsky, 30, who has been a spokeswoman for diet company Jenny Craig and host of the reality TV show “Mr. Personality.”

The former White House intern, who gave her side of the story in the 1999 book “Monica’s Story,” said she reluctantly spoke out about Clinton’s tome, “My Life,” because he tried to rewrite history.

“He says he was proud of the way that he defended the presidency, at my expense,” she said. “In the process he destroyed me, and that was the way he was going to have to do that, to get through impeachment.

“I was a young girl and to hear him saying some of the things he was saying today — it’s a shame.”

Oops, she really did do it again

In case you haven’t heard by now, Britney Spears‘ people are confirming she is in indeed engaged to dancer boyfriend Keven Federline.

Spears, 22, and Federline, 26, have not yet set a date, a Spears spokeswoman said.

The two began dating a few months ago, after Spears’ Las Vegas wedding to childhood friend Jason Alexander in January. That marriage was annulled within days.

It’s a ‘Dreams’ come true for Diana

“American Idol” runner-up Diana DeGarmo‘s first single, “Dreams,” will be released today and the 17-year-old singer says she’s excited to hear it played on the radio.

“I know I’m probably going to have a heart attack,” said in a telephone interview from Los Angeles, where she’s been rehearsing for the “Idol” summer concert tour.

The three-song CD single also contains DeGarmo’s version of “I Believe,” which also was released as a single last week by “Idol” winner Fantasia Barrino, and “Don’t Cry Out Loud.”

And she’s their favorite hottie

“Survivor” winner Amber Brkich pumped up her hometown museum’s firefighting exhibit over the weekend.

Brkich donated bikinis she wore on “Survivor Australian Outback” and “Survivor All-Stars,” a boomerang from an immunity challenge, a leather canteen and a blindfold to the Beaver (Pa.) Area Historical Museum.

“Those guys (firefighters) are the real survivors,” Brkich said. “They’re out in the community every day, and they deserve a lot of credit for the work they do.”

Even for Mr. Spandex, it’s quite a stretch

Former Van Halen lead singer David Lee Roth is reinventing himself as — pass the smelling salts — an emergency medical technician.

Roth traded his California mansion for a modest apartment on Manhattan’s Lower East Side to pursue EMT training. He said he plans to volunteer one weekend a month.

But Diamond Dave hasn’t completely shed his lusty rock-star persona, allowing that his dream patient would be “a Scandinavian hikerette.”
