NEW FACES

DataPro Solutions has recently hired Dennis Hake as senior vice president of business development. Hake was previously general manager of Avista Communications and will be responsible for overall business development, expansion and marketing.

Vicki Behar has recently joined DataPro Solutions as program manager. Behar has worked in a number of management positions at Qualxserv of Tewksbury, Mass., and will be responsible for coordinating and managing client services and support. She is a graduate of Spokane Community College and Eastern Washington University.

DataPro Solutions has recently hired Andrew Hughes as a computer support technician. Hughes was previously an intern with DataPro and is a recent graduate of Eastern Washington University with a degree in computer science. He will be responsible for custom development projects and providing client systems and software support.

Brent T. Stanyer has joined the law firm of Douglas, Eden, Phillips & DeRuyter P.S. as a principal attorney. The firm has changed its name to Douglas, Eden, Phillips, DeRuyter & Stanyer P.S. Stanyer has lived in Spokane for 15 years and specializes in elder law, estate and special-needs planning, business planning and health law. He obtained his law degree from the Gonzaga University School of Law.

WhiteRunkle has recently hired Bill Northrop as executive creative director. Northrop has over 25 years of experience in the advertising industry and was previously vice president and creative director of Ogilvy West. Many of the brands that he has worked on include Microsoft, Toshiba, Porsche, Mattel, Intel, Carnation, Gallo Wines, Celestial Seasonings and Washington Mutual.

Mark Williamson has recently been hired by WhiteRunkle as vice president of response marketing. Williamson has over 15 years of international experience with brands such as IBM and Canon. He was previously head of response marketing at T-Mobile in England.

WhiteRunkle has recently hired Sheros Thomas as account supervisor for response marketing. Thomas was previously with Wunderman/Y&R and Kern Direct Marketing and has over 10 years of experience in the industry. The brands she has worked on include Lincoln, Jaguar, KitchenAide, 24-Hour Fitness, Kaiser Permanente, Princess Cruises, and the Disney Channel.

KUDOS

Diane Bergstresser of Spokane has recently been inducted into the Circle of Excellence by Avon Products Inc. Bergstresser received this award for placing in the top 10 percent of district managers nationally in 2003.

Avista Corp. in Spokane has received a National Hydropower Association award for its work in recreation resource management on the Clark Fork River in Idaho and Montana.

Area residents recently participated in Logger Education to Advance Professionalism workshops, the University of Idaho Extension program that fulfills a requirement of Idaho’s new Pro-Logger program, which recognizes a logger’s commitment to professionalism. Participants received two days of indoor training and one day of field exercises on forest ecology, biology, and water quality and silviculture. The class is taught by the UI Extension faculty and Idaho Department of Lands personnel. North Idaho participants are: Marc Beare, Rob Blankenship, Rodney Clark, Michael Durr, Damon Hahn, Charles Harwood, Steven Henderson, Lonn Holdeman, Jim Inama, Dean Klakken Jr., Tom Lamb, Marion Lauer, Travis Leiske, Norm Linton, Tom Moore, Jacob Morris, Benjamin Morris, Jim Nichols, Wade Parkin, RC Powers, Wiliam Ross, Duke Ross, Wes Schultz, Kirk Short, Jeremy Stephenson, Brad Waterman and Sam Wylic.

ELECTED/APPOINTED

St. George’s School has recently named three new members to its board of trustees. They are Anne Cowles, Jayne Deife, and Suzette Nordstrom.

Welcome Homes, a division of Shelter Associates Inc. has recently been appointed as the builder/dealer for Stratford Building Corporation in Kootenai County. Art Elliot is principal of Shelter Associates and has many years of construction experience.

Rev. Rick Ganz has recently been appointed as director of University Ministry at Gonzaga University. Ganz is a Spokane native and graduate of both Gonzaga Prep and Gonzaga University. He was previously a theology teacher and community superior at Jesuit High School in Portland.

Effective July 1, George Critchlow, associate professor of the Gonzaga University School of Law will be appointed as the interim dean of the law school to replace retiring dean Daniel Morrissey. Critchlow graduated from the law school in 1977 and currently serves as the director of the school’s clinical law program.

PROMOTED

Craig Brosenne has recently been promoted to general manager of the Marine Operations division of Hagadone Hospitality. The division has recently consolidated the Silver Beach Marina, the Boardwalk Marina, the Resort Boat Shop and Yacht Club Sales and Service to operate under Brosenne.
