Local Vocal Talent Needed for 2004 Festival at Sandpoint Chorus – The first chorus will be directed by Rob Kincaid and will perform the finale of Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony at the Festival’s Grand Finale Aug. 15. Auditions are today in Spokane from 7-9:45 p.m., and Saturday from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. at Westminster Church, Fourth and Washington. Advance appointments are necessary to audition. 11th Annual People Helping People Charity Auction – Saturday at Elkins Resort in Priest Lake. Silent auction begins at 3 p.m. with a wine and cheese social. Bonner County Planning and Zoning Commission – Garfield Bay water and sewer district is seeking a conditional use permit for a public utility complex facility to allow for the expansion of the existing sewage disposal system. The meeting will be held Thursday at 8:15 p.m. in Courtroom No. 4 of the Bonner County Courthouse, 215 S. First, Sandpoint. At 6 p.m. they will discuss a zone change request for a conditional use permit for a commercial/private retreat for children with disabilities requested by George and Elizabeth McKinnon.
