Indians 4, Athletics 3: Matt Lawton scored on a wild pitch in the ninth to give Cleveland a victory over visiting Oakland. Omar Vizquel, whose throwing error helped Oakland score twice in the top of the ninth, had a tying RBI double as the Indians swept the A’s.

White Sox 11, Angels 2: Willie Harris had four hits, Jose Valentin homered and Ross Gload drove in three runs to lead Chicago past visiting Anaheim. Chicago has won nine of 12.

Rangers 4, Blue Jays 2: Kenny Rogers became the first eight-game winner in the major leagues this season despite walking seven, and Texas won in Toronto to stop a four-game losing streak. Rogers (8-2) won his fourth straight start, allowing an unearned run and six hits in 5 1/3 innings.

Devil Rays 7, Yankees 6: Aubrey Huff homered twice and drove in three runs to lead Tampa Bay past visiting New York. The loss ended New York’s six-game winning streak.

Orioles 7, Tigers 3: Ugueth Urbina walked Brian Roberts with the bases-loaded in the ninth-inning to break a tie, and Baltimore got a sweep in Detroit.

Twins 8, Royals 3: Alex Prieto hit his first career homer and Corey Koskie drove in three runs as Minnesota won at Kansas City. Kyle Lohse (2-4) allowed three runs and nine hits in five-plus innings for his first victory in eight starts. Lohse’s only other victory this year was against the Royals on April 17.
