Grading the Cougs
Quarterback: C
An interception on the team’s first offensive play helped put WSU in a big hole.
Running backs: B-
Some nice runs were a bright spot, but the 8- to 15-yard plays of last week weren’t there often.
Wide receivers: C-
Getting open is only half the battle – drops continue to bedevil at all the wrong times.
Offensive line: B-

Defensive line: D+

Linebackers: C-
The playmakers on defense didn’t force a single turnover – like the rest of the Cougars – all game.
Secondary: D-
Had trouble keeping up with the Sun Devils’ stable of pass-catchers and looked overmatched.
Special teams: C

Coaching: C-

Overall: C-
