Insulin Pump Support Group – For anyone who is interested in using an insulin pump, already has one, or family and friends, this group will meet Thursday at 6 p.m. at Rockwood Clinic, second floor conference room, 400 E. Fifth. For information,call Deborah Crum at 838-1391.

Tuesday Lunch Transplant Support Group – This support group for those who have had an organ transplant or are awaiting a transplant and their family and friends meets every Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. Information: Jan Erks at 280-0632; Jay Lal at 467-3031; or Joe Urlacher at 926-0843.

MDA Free Support Group – The Muscular Dystrophy Association offers support groups for individuals and their families affected by neuromuscular diseases, including muscular dystrophy, myasthenia gravis, spinal muscular atrophy and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS or Lou Gehrig’s disease). Multiple Sclerosis Association of America – meets the second Monday of the month from 10:30 a.m.-noon at the Valley Senior Center, 11423 E. Mission. Call Helen Anderson at 921-5608.

Lorrie’s Footprints – The support group for multiple sclerosis meets every third Thursday of the month. For information call Stacey at 482-2022.

Muscular Dystrophy Family Support Group – meets on the third Tuesday, 7 p.m. at 140 S. Arthur, fifth floor conference room. Call 533-5470.

Myasthenia Gravis Support Group – meets the second Thursday of every month at 1 p.m. at the Deaconess Educational Center. For information call 456-5619 or 499-4140.

National Alliance for the Mentally Ill – The Spokane chapter of this group has openings in its next Family to Family Education Course. Meets every Tuesday from Sept. 14-Nov. 30 from 6:30-9 at Sacred Heart Medical Center, 101 W. Eighth Ave. Call Ron Anderson at 235-4630.

National Multiple Sclerosis Society Self-Help Group – (individuals and families) Northside meets the third Thursday of each month at 2 p.m. at the Multiple Sclerosis Center, 5901 N. Lidgerwood, Suite 25. Call Lorrie, 467-0616. Family group meets the fourth Wednesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. at St. Luke’s Rehab, 711 S. Cowley, Suite 200. Call Tammy, 292-9548. Valley group meetings will be held at Valley Hospital and Medical Center, 12606 E. Mission, at various times and days. Call the Inland Northwest Chapter at 482-2022 for information.
