One might be tempted to say that crime does pay: Jeremy Jaynes, one of the world’s most prolific computer spammers, grossed up to $750,000 a month by pumping out at least 10 million e-mails a day, offering software, pornography and work-at-home schemes.

One might be tempted to say that, except that Jaynes recently was convicted in the nation’s first felony trial of spam purveyors. Read more about Jaynes and the world of spamming in Technology Monday.
