BAD-BOY ROCKER Tommy Lee, a high school dropout, is plunging into life as a University of Nebraska student – for reality TV.

The Motley Crue drummer will take classes in chemistry, literature and the history of rock ‘n’ roll, and try out for the Nebraska marching band.

Lee, who will have a tutor and live off-campus, said he was looking forward to “a little music, some education, some partying – the whole college experience.”

NBC says it hopes to get six episodes worth of footage for a series set to air next summer.

The idea isn’t sitting well with everyone involved. Lee served four months in jail after pleading no contest to kicking his then-wife, Pamela Anderson, in 1998.

“I am tempted to say something like, ‘If it doesn’t work you can vote me off the island,’ but I’ve already used that line,” university Chancellor Harvey Perlman wrote in an e-mail to faculty. “All I can say is join me in keeping your fingers crossed.”

Let’s hope her luck holds out

Her latest album, “Lucky,” was released in February.

Next time, take the bus

The lead singer of the rock band Incubus was arrested for carrying a switchblade in his bag while trying to board a plane on his way to a concert in North Carolina.

Brandon Boyd was stopped at New York City’s LaGuardia Airport when baggage screeners spotted the knife in his carry-on luggage.

“I totally forgot it was at the bottom of my bag, and when the security person pulled it out, I thought, ‘Oh, no,’ ” Boyd said.
