Wine-tasting will aid Mid-City programs
A benefit for Mid-City Concerns Meals on Wheels and Mid-City Senior Center, the fourth annual “Wheelin’ into the Night Auction, Dinner and Wine Tasting,” will be Oct. 22.
The event will be at The Rendezvous Event Facility, 1003 E. Trent Ave., and will include a silent auction from 5:30 to 7:15 p.m., a prime rib and turkey buffet beginning at 7:30, and an oral auction from 8:15 to 9.
Beer, wine and spirit tasting will be held throughout the evening with spirits from Hood River Distillers and beer from Northern Lights Brewing Co.
Dress is evening attire; tickets are $35 per person or $270 for a table.

A night at the theater
See the production “Noises Off” by Michael Frayn at the Spokane Civic Theatre on Wednesday, and benefit the Sunrise East Lions Club.
Tickets for the second annual Benefit Night at the Civic Theatre are $17.50 and may be purchased by calling 484-4259.
Curtain time is 7:30 p.m., silent auction will be held at 7 p.m. Dessert and beverages will be served before the show and during intermission.
Proceeds benefit sight and hearing projects of the Spokane Sunrise East Lions Club.
“A Dinner to Die For”
Cancer Patient Care will host its third annual Dinner Among Friends benefit with “A Dinner to Die For” murder mystery dinner theater at Centerpointe, 1408 N. Washington St.
Saturday’s performance of “The Haunted Mansion,” will feature the Best in Nation Spokane Theatrical Group beginning at 6 p.m.

Cancer Patient Care is a nonprofit organization which provides services to local cancer patients and their families.
Dinner to aid low vision clinic
A dinner to raise funds for the Lions Low Vision Clinic will be Saturday at the Northeast Community Center, 4001 N. Cook St.
A social will begin at 6 p.m., followed by dinner at 6:30 p.m.
Sandy Jeghers of the Northwest Lions Foundation for Sight and Hearing will be the guest speaker.
