Party: Republican

Personal: 40, single father of one daughter.

Education: Earned bachelor’s degree in finance and operations management from Eastern Washington University.

Professional: After leaving the Legislature, worked as a regional government affairs director for Johnson & Johnson, and since 1997 has owned his own government affairs consulting business.

Political: Served as a state representative for Spokane from 1990-1995; prior to that he worked as a legislative assistant.

Key issues: The day-to-day operations of the county, including setting and achieving goals; improving relationships with other jurisdictions; investing in infrastructure and helping the private sector.
