The Bs
Northeast B-11: With two weeks remaining in the regular season, state football tournament seedings are beginning to shake out. Lind-Ritzville (7-0) looks like the probable top seed, although it still plays Selkirk and Republic. The top seed draws the No. 2 seed from the Central Washington district, currently Pateros. If Reardan (6-1) and Liberty (6-1) win this week, their matchup on Nov. 5 would decide the second and third seeds. The difference between the two is likely the difference between a potential deep run and a first-round exit. The second seed out of the NEB-11 draws Central Washington’s No. 3, which is still up for grabs. The NEB-11’s third seed will play the Southeast B-11’s top seed, DeSales. The final spot from the NEB-11 could still go to any of four teams, Republic (4-3), Selkirk (3-4), Wilbur-Creston (3-4) or Davenport (3-4). Southeast B-11: Asotin (5-1, 2-1) has likely secured the No. 2 spot in the league with its 32-6 win over Dayton last week. The teams are both one game behind DeSales (7-1, 3-0), which is host to Dayton this week. Southeast B-8: LaCrosse-Washtucna (7-0, 5-0) is undefeated with two games left. LaCrosse-Washtucna, riding a 30-game winning streak, hosts Garfield-Palouse (4-3) in a non-league game Friday. Jubilee Christian (7-1, 5-1) took over second while Colton-Pullman Christian (5-3, 3-2) dropped to third after the teams met last week. Whitman County: Final league volleyball matches are tonight. Garfield-Palouse (11-0) has a commanding lead in the standings, three matches ahead of LaCrosse-Washtucna (8-3) and Tekoa-Oakesdale (8-3).
