Price deserves clean slate

The adage, “the pen is mightier than the sword,” was used in poor taste by John Blanchette in his column regarding Mike Price (Friday, Sept. 3, 2004).

How many boys has Mike Price nurtured to young men who went on to become contributing members of our society? Or gone to war to protect the likes of the “Blanchettes” to have freedom of speech. I doubt John Blanchette can come close.

Isn’t it time to let Mike Price heal from the allegations and continue to develop the young athletes who will become role models for generations to come?

I wish Blanchette would run for public office so we can see how lily white he is.
