Quarterbacks: C-

Drops hurt Swogger and Brink, but 36.5 comp. percentage and a crushing INT don’t get it done.

Running backs: C-

2.3 yards a carry and no catches out of the backfield as the Cougars again fail to run the ball.

Wide receivers: C-

Jason Hill had a career day, but eight drops helped put WSU offense behind the 8-ball.

Offensive line: D+

No run game once again and Cougars QBs were sacked eight times for losses of 65 yards.

Defensive line: A

Harassed Colorado’s backfield all day despite losing both tackles to injury along the way.

Linebackers: A-

Davis and Derting were WSU’s two leading tacklers, and LBs had seven tackles for loss.

Secondary: A-

Aided by pressure up front, Cougars defensive backs locked down the Buffaloes’ passing game.

Special teams: C-

Blocked punt for TD, two missed field goals and one long kick return hurt the Cougars.

Coaching: C+

Defensive game plan was sterling, but personnel shuffle on offense made continuity difficult.
