Sharon Hoerner exchanged wedding vows with Elias Macalalad in a May 8 ceremony at St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church, Spokane.

The bride is the daughter of Roy and Marilyn Hoerner, Spokane. Jacinto and Nelia Macalalad, Katy, Texas, are the parents of the groom.

A reception at the Southside Community Center, Spokane, followed the ceremony. The couple are living in Moses Lake after a honeymoon in Europe and Mediterranean cruise.

A graduate of Eastern Washington University, the bride is an elementary school teacher. The groom is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin and is a chemical engineer.
