Alice (Millsaps) Reynolds
Post Falls
Burial for Alice Marie (Millsaps) Reynolds, 90, will be Friday at 1 p.m. at Pleasant View Cemetery in Post Falls with service to follow at 2 p.m. at Pleasant View Church. English Funeral Chapel in Post Falls is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Reynolds, who was born at the family home on McGuire Road in Post Falls, died Saturday.
She grew up in Post Falls and graduated from high school there in 1932. She married Chester Reynolds later that year. The couple celebrated 70 years of marriage before he died.
Mrs. Reynolds and a friend, Mrs. Dilworth, began a hot-lunch program at McGuire School. In 1949 the Post Falls School Board urged her to bring the program to the elementary school, and she supervised the program until her retirement in 1972.
She also created custom wedding and special-occasion cakes from her home in Post Falls and was featured in a 1959 front-page story in Inland Empire Magazine.
She enjoyed crocheting, ceramics and sewing.
Survivors include two sons, Gerald Reynolds of Morgan Hill, Calif., and John Reynolds of Post Falls; a sister, Inez of Anchorage, Alaska; six grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Jessie (Seaman) Nederhood
Hayden, Idaho
Memorial service for Jessie M. (Seaman) Nederhood, 95, will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Post Falls. English Funeral Chapel in Post Falls is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Nederhood, who was born in Sumas, Wash., died Sunday.
She married Sidney Tillotson in 1925, and they later divorced.
She married Lester Seaman in 1937, and he died in 1978.
In 1988 she married Oliver Nederhood. He died in 1999.
Mrs. Nederhood moved to Coeur d’Alene in 1970 and settled in Post Falls in 1975.
She had worked in canneries and in harvesting for 10 years in Western Washington and then served as postmaster in Fernwood, Idaho.
Mrs. Nederhood was a volunteer with the American Cancer Society for 35 years and enjoyed playing cards.
Survivors include a son, Elmer Tillotson of Post Falls; three grandchildren, Jim, Geraldine, and Carla; eight great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren and two stepgrandsons.

Hazel (Titus) Gleave
Colville
Funeral for Hazel I. (Titus) Gleave, 92, will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Colville, with graveside service and vault interment to follow at the Mountain View Park Cemetery in Colville. Danekas Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Gleave died Friday. Born in Hugo, Colo., she traveled with her family through Colorado, Minnesota and North Dakota and attended school in several different communities.
In 1934 she married Walter Gleave, and the couple moved to the Arden, Wash., area near Colville, in 1942. In 1983 they moved into Colville.
Her husband died in 1983.
Mrs. Gleave was an avid bingo player and enjoyed quilting, canning, crafts, marbles and puzzles.
Survivors include seven sons, Richard, Larry and Dan Gleave, all of Colville, Robert Gleave of Lodi, Calif., Donald Gleave of Portland, Gene Gleave of Onion Creek, Wash., and Leroy Titus of Cheney; two daughters, Bonnie Werner and Linda Gallo, both of Colville; two sisters, Harriet Pulver of Spokane and Viola Lane of Shady Cove, Ore.; a brother, Cliff Titus of Odessa, Wash.; 34 grandchildren, 65 great-grandchildren and 18 great-great-grandchildren.
Anna (Ulrich) Wilson
Cheney
Memorial service for Anna Laura (Ulrich) Wilson, 88, will be Thursday at 3 p.m. at Cheney Lutheran Church. Neptune Society is in charge of arrangements.
Ms. Wilson, who died Saturday, was a resident of Cheney for 27 years. She was born in Baltimore.
She worked as a machine operator for 36 years, retiring from Western Electric in 1977.
She was a member of Order of the Eastern Star and Cheney Senior Citizens and enjoyed playing cards.
Her husband of 19 years, Chuck Wilson, died in 1951.
Survivors include a daughter, Ethel Burkhouse, and a brother, Lambert Ulrich Jr., both of Baltimore; 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Alice (McAfee) Frost
Coeur d’Alene
Memorial service for Alice (McAfee) Frost, 94, will be Friday at 3 p.m. at Yates Funeral Home, Hayden Chapel, with a reception to follow at the Yates Hayden Chapel Gathering Center.
Mrs. Frost, who was born in St. Maries, died Monday.
She graduated from high school in 1928 and from college in 1931. She served as a teacher and taught in Dalton Gardens, Idaho, for one year.
She met her future husband, Frank Frost, while still in college. They were married in 1935. He died in 1999.
Mrs. Frost also was a homemaker and librarian at Orofino Public Library for eight years.
She was active as a Bluebirds and Camp Fire leader and was a member of the Bridge Club, the PEO and the Order of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed entertaining and won many cooking awards at the North Idaho Fair. She began playing golf in 1954 and enjoyed the sport for many years.
Survivors include a daughter, Joan Brock of Davenport, Wash.; a grandson and three great-grandchildren.

Douglas ‘Bubba’ DeLano Jr.
Athol, Idaho
Visitation for Douglas Lee “Bubba” DeLano Jr., 16, will be Thursday from 5 to 9 p.m. at Yates Funeral Home, Hayden Chapel. Service is planned for Friday at 11 a.m. at New Beginnings Baptist Church in Rathdrum, Idaho.
Mr. DeLano, who was born in Spokane, died Sunday.
He attended Timberlake High School in Spirit Lake, Idaho, where he was active in football and wrestling.
He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and his hound dog, Jesse. He also liked fishing, camping, hunting and anything with a motor.
Survivors include his parents, Douglas and Joanne DeLano; three sisters, Marie DeLano of Spokane, and Becky and Jessica DeLano, both of Athol; his grandparents, Robert Delano of Athol, and James and Patricia Terry of Valleyford; and his great-grandmother, Margaret Ball.
Anne (Stenulis) Kiefer
Spokane
Service for Anne Pauline (Stenulis) Kiefer, 86, will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Sunset Mausoleum, Fairmount Memorial Park. Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Kiefer, who was born in New Philadelphia, Pa., died Thursday. She was a resident of Spokane County for 59 years
In 1945 she married Albert Kiefer in Boston. Later that year they moved to Spokane.
Mrs. Kiefer was the local AARP coordinator for tax aid for 21 years.
She was a volunteer at various agencies, including Spokane Visitors Bureau, Washington State Employment Service, Retired Senior Volunteer Program and AARP. She was RSVP Volunteer of the Month in January 2000.
She was a member of Westminster United Church of Christ, and enjoyed reading, cooking, shopping and gardening.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Alan Kiefer of Spokane; and a daughter, Patricia Severud of Chicago.

Rev. Herman Mullis
St. Maries
Graveside service for the Rev. Herman Mullis, 93, will be Thursday at 4 p.m. at Woodlawn Cemetery in St. Maries. Hodge Funeral Home in St. Maries is in charge of arrangements.
The Rev. Mullis, who was born in Gaston County, N.C., died Monday.
He grew up in Charlotte, N.C., and graduated from Central High School there in 1929.
He married Gladys Cato that same year, and they attended college together and graduated with theology degrees from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
He and his wife entered the ministry together and served in the Southern Baptist Convention. They continued their education in California and received Doctor of Divinity degrees.
Rev. Mullis served in the Army during World War II in the China-Burma-India Theater.
After his military service he continued his partnership in ministry with his wife and served at various churches throughout the United States.
He retired in 1976 and moved to St. Maries.
His wife died in 1987, and he continued a part-time ministry while working part-time for Hodge Funeral Home.
Rev. Mullis enjoyed working with youths at summer camps and was a member of the Church of Christianity of Hollywood, Calif., and the Southern Baptist Convention. He was a charter member of the Southern Baptist Senior Citizens Organization.
Survivors include nieces, nephews and cousins.
Katherine Nelson
Priest River, Idaho
Graveside service for Katherine Florence Nelson, 90, will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Evergreen Cemetery in Priest River. Sherman-Knapp Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Nelson, who died Thursday, was born in Priest River.
After graduating from Priest River High School she attended Whitworth College.
In 1933 she married Laurence Nelson.
In addition to being a homemaker, Mrs. Nelson was co-owner and office manager at Nelson Lumber Co. in Priest River.
Her other interests included flower gardening, fishing, berry picking, cooking and sewing.
Her husband died in 1996.
Survivors include a son, Ron Nelson, and a sister, Dorothy Crunk, both of Priest River; and two grandchildren.

Roddy Torrence
Spokane
Memorial service for Roddy R. Torrence, 43, will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Hazen and Jaeger Valley Funeral Home.
Mr. Torrence, who died Sept. 6, was born in Everett.
He served in the Army and was stationed in Germany.
He had worked for Key Tronic as a technician for five years.
He enjoyed Harley-Davidson motorcycles and old cars. He also was a musician and played bass guitar.
Survivors include a son, Jeremiah Torrence of Addy, Wash.; his mother, Val Harrington of Bonners Ferry, Idaho; three brothers, Warren Torrence of Spokane, and Evan Torrence and Nathan Harrington, both of Bonners Ferry; and a sister, Nyla Torrence of Spokane.

Scott Daisley
Spokane
Memorial service for R. Scott Daisley, 65, will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Heritage Funeral Home.
Mr. Daisley died Sept. 6. He was born in Spokane and attended North Central High School. He graduated from Whitworth College with a master’s degree in education.
Mr. Daisley was a Green Beret Special Forces paratrooper and served in Vietnam. After the war, he joined the Peace Corps in the South Pacific and also was with People to People.
He was a teacher and counselor in the Plummer, Idaho School District for several years. He also worked in the insurance industry.
Mr. Daisley was an artist and photographer and was an art therapist for Alzheimers patients.
He was an avid golfer and ran in 20 Bloomsday races.
Survivors include his wife, Kirsten; a daughter, Karin, at the home; his father, Elbern, and brother Roger, both of California; and a sister, Carol Hemus of Sagle, Idaho.

Zinnia Zwainz
Davenport, Wash.
Rosary for Zinnia M. Zwainz, 97, will be Friday at 5 p.m. at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Reardan. Funeral Mass will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Davenport. Strate Funeral Home in Davenport is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Zwainz, who died Monday, was born in Gravelle, Wash.
In 1924 she graduated from Reardan High School, and in 1929 she married George Zwainz.
She was a homemaker and was a member St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Spring Creek Grange, Reardan Garden Club, Lincoln Hospital Auxiliary and Manito Golf and Country Club.
She enjoyed playing bridge, golf, knitting and gardening.
Her husband died in 1989.
Survivors include two grandsons, Rodney Zwainz of Crofton, Md., and Tom Zwainz of Reardan; and four great-grandchildren.
