Ballroom dancing planned

Ballroom dancing will be celebrated in a Showcase Premiere on Sunday evening at CenterStage, 1017 W. First Ave.

Instructors from Simply Dance and The Dancing Place will be on hand to help participants with their steps. People also can simply come and watch if they like.

Doors open at 5 p.m., with dancing demonstrations from 6 to 6:45 p.m. and 7:15 to 8 p.m., followed by open dancing until 9:30 p.m. The cost is $35 per couple, which includes a selection of appetizers (cocktails and other food items can be ordered a la carte).

Tickets are available by calling 747-8243 or in person at the CenterStage box office between noon and 6 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, or with convenience fees through TicketsWest outlets (325-SEAT, 800-325-SEAT, www.ticketswest.com).
