Southeast B-11: 2003 league champion and state finalist DeSales, ranked No. 1 in the B-11 ranks, lost 15-14 Friday in a non-league game to Baker, Ore.… Friday games include non-league matchups with Pomeroy at Colfax and DeSales and Dayton traveling to Oregon to take on Culver and Weston-Athena. Asotin plays at Tekoa-Oakesdale. Northeast B-11: Liberty routed Odessa last week, but may be brought back to earth at an angry Davenport team Friday night. Lind-Ritzville trounced the Gorillas 51-12 last week to establish itself as the league favorite. … The winner of Republic at Selkirk cruises into the third week of league play at 2-0, and in good early-season position. Southeast B-8: Colton/Pullman Christian’s Kyle Kelly hooked up with teammate Tom Eylar twice in a double-overtime victory over Touchet. The victory broke an eight-game losing streak to Touchet…2003 B-8 Player of the Year Kevin Dainty and LaCrosse-Washtucna extended their win streak to 24…The game to catch this week is Jubilee Christian at LaCrosse-Washtucna. The teams met last in the 2003 state final. Northeast B-8: Inchelium travels to Columbia (Hunters) Friday afternoon for a non-league game between two league foes trying to position themselves for a shot at Sprague-Harrington. Bi-County: League volleyball begins Tuesday, with Wilbur-Creston at Liberty and Lind-Ritzville at Sprague-Harrington. Whitman County: Rosalia, yet to play a league match, travels to Asotin (0-1) tonight…Tonight’s other league matches are Colton (0-1) at Tekoa-Oakesdale (1-0) and LaCrosse-Washtucna (0-1) at St. John-Endicott (1-0).
