Josh Chastain returned a pair of punts for touchdowns and Kevin Dainty scored three times Friday as LaCrosse-Washtucna blanked Jubilee Christian, 46-0, in a rematch of last year’s state Class B-8 championship game.
Chastain opened the scoring for the Tigercats by returning a punt 50 yards for a touchdown in the first quarter. He topped that effort with a 65-yard return in the second.
Dainty, who rushed for 152 yards on a dozen carries, caught a 25-yard pass from quarterback Justin McKenzie for his first touchdown, then had scoring runs of 12 and 10 yards.
McKenzie was 9 of 11 passing for the Tigercats, who rolled to their 25th straight victory.
LaCrosse-Washtucna, the two-time defending Class B-8 state champion, beat its Southeast B-8 League rival 60-20 in last year’s championship game.
In other Southeast B-8 League games, Colton-Pullman Christian stopped Liberty Christian four times on its 2-yard line to preserve a 50-0 shutout victory. Seth Robertson scored three TDs in a three-minute span of the second quarter. Robertson rushed for 174 yards on 15 carries. Colton-Pullman Christian climbed to 3-0 for the first time since 1997 with the victory. … Garfield-Palouse came out on the short end of a 68-38 decision against visiting Genesee, Idaho, in a non-league B-8 contest. Justin Udy of Genesee was 5 of 13 for 198 yards and five touchdowns. Garrett Parrish completed 13 of 32 passes for 252 yards and a pair of touchdowns for the Vikings. … St. John-Endicott rolled to a 48-0 non-league win over visiting Mansfield. Brent Leifer scored three times on runs of 29, 10, and 1 yard, and Andrew Wolfe had runs of 20 and 3 yards for touchdowns for the Eagles.

Mitchel Hammond scored three times to lead Columbia-Hunters to a 42-0 shutout win over Inchelium. Hammond rumbled 68-yards for the game’s first touchdown and pulled in a 48-yard pass from quarterback Nick Kegel, who was 5 for 5 passing, picking up 153 yards and two touchdowns. … Sprague-Harrington rolled to a 44-6 lead after one quarter and cruised to a 70-24 victory over Curlew. Josh Adams had five touchdowns for the Falcons. Adams returned a punt 50 yards for one score and a kickoff 75 yard for another. He pulled in passes of 29 and 63 yards, and scampered 53 yards for his lone rushing score.

Wilbur-Cresteon blanked Odessa 18-0. Quarterback Joel Sherwood threw for one touchdown and ran 26 yard for another. … Adam Hancock returned a punt 59 yards for a touchdown to lift Republic to a 12-0 win over Selkirk at Ione. Gabe Giddings, who connected on 6 of 13 passes for 108 yards, burrowed over from the 1 to complete the scoring for the Tigers. … Reardan rolled to its 22nd straight victory, thumping Springdale 50-7. Bob Christerson raced 60 yards for Reardan’s first touchdown, racking up 106 yards rushing on a half-dozen carries. … Lind-Ritzville scored 32 points in the first quarter and cruised to a 39-21 win at Almira/Coulee-Hartline. Junior Nick Ashley rushed for 121 yards on a dozen carries and scored two touchdowns. Lakeside-Plummer scored 28 points in the fourth quarter to knock off Cusick on the Panthers’ home field. Keith Green Sky caught three touchdown passes, all in the fourth quarter, for the Knights. Tim Wolfe completed 8 of 19 passes for 181 yards and three touchdowns and Adam Sijohn caught a touchdown pass, ran for a touchdown and passed for a third. … Freeman rode running back Kevin Hatch to a 14-0 home-field victory over Class 2A Chewelah. Hatch carried 29 times in the rain, piling up 173 yards and the game’s two touchdowns – booting the extra-point on each. The Scotties held Chewelah to 105 yards of total offense. … Colville blanked its neighbor to the north, Kettle Falls, 34-0. Quarterback Tyler Emmil passed for a pair of touchdowns and running back John Roberts scored on runs of 72 and 62 yards. … Colfax blanked Pomeroy18-0 behind Josh Campbell‘s 198 yards rushing. Nick Canger and Tim Hamilton combined to rush for 248 yards and three touchdowns as Post Falls rolled at Vallivue, 44-7, in a non-league contest. Canger, a 5-foot-9 senior, had touchdown romps of 40 and 80 yards, piling up 147 rushing yards on just eight carries.
In an Inland Empire League showdown, Lewiston knocked off Lakeland 49-21. … Lake City fullback Joey Symbal lumbered for 120 yards on 14 carries and scored a pair of touchdowns as the Timberwolves beat Timberline 49-27.
