Mt. Spokane finally beats Mead

Mt. Spokane rode two first-half goals by senior Ashley Imes to its first-ever victory over cross-district rival Mead, 3-0 in a Greater Spokane League showdown. Senior midfielder Shaunae Phillipy fed Imes for the first goal at the 17-minute mark, then added a second-half insurance goal. Her sister, sophomore Kalie Phillipy, made 17 saves to earn the win in goal.

In other GSL games, freshman Aubrey Bot scored midway through the first half to lift Lewis and Clark to a 1-0 victory over Cheney at Hart Field.
