Fake pistol leads to suspensions
Two Lake City High School students were suspended Wednesday for bringing a “look alike” pistol that shoots plastic pellets to school. Both students face expulsion.
The pair were in a vehicle and confronted two other students getting off a school bus, Coeur d’Alene Police reported Thursday.
The pistol was never pointed at the students, who told officers that they weren’t too concerned and didn’t think they were going to be shot, the report said.
The four students have had ongoing problems since last year, the report said.
Police determined that the fake pistol had been on school grounds, in the suspect’s vehicle, before the confrontation. Police are still investigating.
