The Spokesman-Review

Quarterback: B+

Swogger fumbled a couple of times, but didn’t throw it away and made the clutch plays.

Running back: C+

Fumbles cause for the downgrade here, but Thompson and Harrison showed signs of promise.

Wide receivers: B-

Hill has become the go-to wideout for WSU; no individual had more than four grabs.

Offensive line: B

Kept Swogger clean for much of the game with the quarterback ailing.

Defensive line: B-

Couldn’t stop Arizona runners in the second half — didn’t help being on the field for 24 minutes.

Linebackers: B+

Derting and Davis once again lead the way on the defensive stat sheet.

Secondary: C+

Teems saw almost nothing come his way; Paymah surprisingly struggled in coverage at times.

Special teams: A-

Basler’s punting and nice kickoff coverage made this group the team’s standouts.

Coaching: B+

Good game plan, lousy execution too many times.

Overall:
