Collese Dornan contributed 11 kills and three blocks Wednesday night to lift North Idaho College to a 30-15, 30-25, 28-30, 30-27 non-conference volleyball win over Columbia Basin at Pasco.

NIC improved to 15-11. The Cardinals have won four consecutive matches, and nine of 11.

Jessica McCain (Pullman High) had nine kills for the Hawks. CBC dropped to 19-4, including a pair of losses to NIC.

Women’s golf

Eastern Washington’s Carlie Allen has been named the Big Sky Conference Golfer of the Week following a pair of top-five finishes.

Allen, from Coon Rapids, Minn., capped her week with a second-place finish at the Inland Empire Women’s Intercollegiate Tournament held Monday and Tuesday at The Highlands Golf Course in Post Falls.

Allen, a senior, fired a first-round 75 and followed with a 2-under-par 70 to finish in second place.
