If you think you’re seeing and hearing a lot of ads from cable and satellite TV providers, you’re right.

The Inland Northwest — Spokane in particular — is “ground zero in the cable-vs.-satellite battle,” says a spokesman for one of the satellite companies.

Why? Well, residents of this region are known as ‘flippers,’ willing to change service providers in response to advertising. And the market is small and isolated, so companies can more accurately gauge how well their advertising dollars are working.
