”Grease” makes one stop at Beasley Coliseum
A touring production of the Broadway musical “Grease” comes to Washington State University’s Beasley Coliseum for one performance only on Friday.
One of Broadway’s longest-running musicals, “Grease” is a nostalgic and tuneful look at growing up in the 1950s. It tells the story of Danny Zuko, king of the Burger Palace Boys, and Sandy Dumbrowski, a naïve transfer student whose life changes when she meets Rizzo, leader of the Pink Ladies.
Along with the original score, producers have made special arrangements to include songs from the movie version, including “Hopelessly Devoted to You,” “You’re the One I Want” and “Greased Lightnin’.”
Friday’s performance begins at 8 p.m. Tickets are $35 and $43 ($5 discount for children and for WSU students, faculty and staff), through TicketsWest outlets (325-SEAT, 800-325-SEAT, www.ticketswest.com) and www.beasley.wsu.edu.
