Pair break into medical offices
Spokane police are looking for two men who broke into two south Spokane medical offices on
April 21.
One suspect was confronted by employees at the Fifth and Browne Medical Center, 104 W. Fifth Ave. about 5:45 p.m., said Dick Cottam, police spokesman. The suspect told the employee he entered through an unlocked door.
After escorting the man out, employees found pry marks on a door and called police.
The suspect was described as black, about 6-foot-5, 200 pounds, with braided hair. He was wearing a white, black and blue nylon sweat suit, Cottam said.
A short time later, a manager at 507 S. Washington St. encountered two black males inside the building, and one asked where he could get an MRI. After the two men left, the manager noticed several office doors had been forced open.
At 7 p.m. officers were called back to the building on Fifth Avenue after an employee found two black males inside. One said he entered through an open door and also asked about an MRI, Cottam said. The other man said he was a janitor, and when asked for identification, he left, Cottam said.
Officers found a suitcase loaded with physician’s equipment, a camera, and two laptop computers.
Anyone with information about the two suspects or the incident is asked to call 242-TIPS (242-8477).
