Third Annual Pend Oreille Master Gardener Plant Sale - Includes vegetable and flower plant starts, garden decorations, garden whimsy and raffle prizes. Proceeds will benefit the Master Gardeners for community gardening projects, education and community service. Saturday, 9 a.m.-1 p.m., Stratton Elementary School, Newport, Wash.

Annual Miniature Rose Sale - Presented by Spokane Rose Society, with more than 600 miniature roses featuring 71 varieties. Next Friday, 8 a.m.-7 p.m. and May 7, 8 a.m.-6 p.m. Northwest Seed and Pet, 2422 E. Sprague Ave. 443-1852.

Forget Me Not Days - Volunteers from the Spokane Bankers Life and Casualty Co. will be collecting donations at area street corners and stores to benefit the Alzheimer’s Association. Volunteers will be wearing green aprons and will give out Forget-Me-Not seed packets for each donation. Next Friday and May 7. Locations vary. 483-8456.

Inland Empire Bonsai Society - Demonstration on styling a tree, next Friday from 6-9 p.m. A workshop on member’s trees will be held all day May 7. Guest artist David Rowe will be present. Manito Park Garden Center. $5/nonmembers.
