Spokane Tax-Aide – A district coordinator is needed to implement AARP/IRS free income tax counseling program plans from September through May in the Spokane area. Duties include recruiting, appointing, training, supervising and evaluating coordinators and instructors. Call 536-0573 or send e-mail to spokanetaxaide@msn.com for more information.

Spokane Valley Meals on Wheels – needs drivers to deliver meals to individuals who are isolated and need nutritional support. Contact Pam at 924-6976 for more information.

The Salvation Army – is looking for individuals to help on Aug. 27 by distributing fresh produce and to fill backpacks with back-to-school goodies for the one-day backpack distribution. For more information, visit the Family Services office at 2020 N. Division, or call Christy at 329-2732.

Women’s and Children’s Free Restaurant – Volunteers are needed to help maintain two storage rooms for two hours a day on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. Must be able to lift heavy items. Contact Marlene at 324-1995 for more information.
