Numerica collecting school supplies

The Spokesman-Review

In just a little more than three weeks the schools will be full of anxious new and returning students. Many parents are busy shopping for school clothes and supplies with their kids, but not everyone is as fortunate.

This marks the third year that Numerica Credit Union is collecting school supplies to help out families in need. According to Kelli Hawkins, marketing specialist for Numerica, they have identified the schools that have the most need, and will distribute the supplies accordingly. The program is mainly for elementary school-age children.

The branchwide drive is in all 13 Numerica branches throughout North Idaho, Central and Eastern Washington. Each branch has a list of what is needed, and drop-off boxes for the supplies. Local branches are in Coeur d’Alene, Spokane Valley and Spokane.

In the past, stacks of supplies were not only given to schools, but also to local charities benefiting children in need.

Supplies can be contributed until Aug. 24. For more information call (800) 433-1837.
