Tech Q&A The Spokesman-Review

Question: We are preparing for our 40th class reunion. Is there a Web site where I could search by name to see who has died?

Answer: Use the Social Security Death Index. This is a database of people whose deaths were reported to the Social Security Administration beginning in 1962. It is available at several genealogy sites but consider accessing it from FamilySearch ( www.familysearch.org). Unlike the other sites, FamilySearch, run by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, doesn’t flood you with pop-up ads.
