Diana Taurasi scored all 16 of her points in the first half, and the Phoenix Mercury routed the hapless San Antonio Silver Stars 91-57 Friday night in Phoenix, the biggest win in Mercury history.

Their previous record was 33 points, which was done four times.

Sparks 74, Shock 67: At Los Angeles, the Sparks gave interim coach Joe Bryant his first WBNA victory with a victory over Detroit.

Lisa Leslie scored 24 points and Chamique Holdsclaw added 19.
