Konae Purcell and Sarah Johnston finished the day with 22 kills apiece to lead the Cardinals, while Collese Doman compiled 76 assists on the day.

Erin Curtis (11), Kati Tikker (11) and Amanda Bowman (10) all reached double figures for the Vandals (2-1).

Boevers also hit .327 as the Bulldogs (1-2) rallied from a 12-9 deficit in the fifth game to hold off the Vikings (1-1). Becky Jones added 19 kills for GU, with Briawna Mueller adding 12 on a .500 hitting percentage.

•Lizzy Mellor’s 21 kills led Eastern Washington (1-1) to a 30-19, 26-30, 30-20, 24-30, 15-13 win over South Dakota State (1-2) at the Oregon Kickoff Classic.

Kerri Beck added 12 kills and Ashley Jensen 11 for the Eagles.
