Lake City Playhouse schedules September auditions
The Lake City Playhouse in Coeur d’Alene is holding auditions in September for three upcoming plays. Auditions for “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow,” based on the story by Washington Irving, will be Sept. 6 and 7 at 6:30 p.m. at the Harding Family Center, 411 N. 15th St., Coeur d’Alene. Needed are nine or more adults and children of all ages.
On Sept. 12 and 13, auditions will be held at 6:30 p.m. at the Playhouse, 1320 E. Garden Ave., for “It’s a Wonderful Life,” based on the classic Frank Capra movie. Twelve men, 10 women, two to four boys and two girls are needed.
Auditions for a reader’s theater production of short plays by Mark Twain will be Sept. 26 at 6:30 p.m. at the Playhouse. Six men and five women are needed.

Auditions
North Idaho College in Coeur d’Alene is seeking community members to join its three choirs.
Auditions for the college’s vocal jazz ensemble, Jazz Co., will be Monday from 7 to 9:30 p.m. in Boswell Hall, Room 128.
Auditions for the Madrigal Singers will be Tuesday from 4 to 6:30 p.m. in Boswell Hall, Room 102. A maximum of 16 singers will be selected.
The Concert Choir will begin rehearsals Tuesday from 7 to 9:30 p.m. in Boswell Hall, Room 102. There are no auditions, but there will be individual screenings to determine section placement.

“The Chase Gallery in the lower level of Spokane City Hall is looking for artwork to display during its 2007 exhibition season.
Artists should submit 10 to 12 slides or photographs of their work, labeled or with an accompanying reference sheet, along with a resume, artist statement and a self-addressed stamped envelope (for return of the images) to Exhibiting Committee, Spokane Arts Commission, 808 W. Private music lessons are available and three music groups will begin rehearsing.
The New Horizons Orchestra will meet Tuesdays starting Sept. 6 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. The New Horizons Choir will meet Wednesdays starting Sept. 7 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., and the New Horizons Bluegrass Band will meet Fridays starting Sept. 9 from 7 to 9 p.m.
