Pub and grub

TC Bar & Grille opened less than a month ago at 3525 N. Division St., giving the behemoth barn-ish building an atmospheric overhaul from its days as Three Dishes Restaurant.

Five pool tables, a full bar,

10 taps (currently featuring North Coast Old Rasputing Russian Imperial Stout) and a traditional pub menu fit in with the joint’s 17 TVs playing every DirectTV sports package, manager Paul Grier said.

TC offers daily lunch specials and free pizza at the start of Monday Night Football. Grab breakfast at TC on Saturdays and Sundays from 8 a.m. to noon.

TC Bar & Grille is open Mondays through Fridays, 11:30 a.m. to close; Saturdays and Sundays, 8 a.m. to close.

Bye-bye Dim Sum

You’re not alone if you procrastinated and missed out on the “Homemade Dim Sum” at Songhay Restaurant, 2435 N. Division St.

Now Songhay’s lights are out and a “for lease” sign hangs in the window.

All dogs go to …

Hot Dog Heaven parked its trailer at the southwest corner of Wall Street and Garland Avenue nearly three weeks ago.

It offers regular and specialty wieners, including one owner John Trendowicz calls the Italian Stallion ($5.50), an Italian sausage slow-cooked in red sauce and smothered in melted mozzarella.

Hours are Tuesdays through Saturdays, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
