PS3 countdown

Everyone’s like totally amped on this Xbox 360 hoopla. Stores are sold out; eBayers are banking mucho dinero by immediately reselling their systems.

Enjoy your lone leadership while it lasts, Xbox.

PlayStation 3 is set to hit stores in May 2006 armed with no small artillery.

Sony claims the system’s Nvidia RSX graphics processor will be more powerful than two GeForce 6800 Ultra cards (read: superbad) and the system can handle up to seven wireless controllers at once using Bluetooth technology.

And that’s just the beginning. For a side-by-side comparison of the PS3 and Xbox 360 and to watch the hour-and-a-half video of Sony unveiling the system in May at E3 2005, visit www.gamespot.com/news/ 2005/05/16/news_ 6124681.html
