Art classes offered for vacationing students

With school out for the rest of the year, kids have opportunities to spend some time learning arts and crafts:

“The Tinman Gallery, 811 W. Garland Ave., is offering the following classes this week. For more information, call 325-1500.

Kids Holiday Art Camp, Monday through Friday, 1 to 2 p.m., $5 per day; Snowflake Workshop, make German stars, lace flakes and die-cut flakes, Monday, 6 to 8 p.m., $10; Paper Stockings Class, Tuesday, 6 to 8 p.m., $10; Note Holder Box Workshop, Thursday, 6 to 8 p.m., $10.

“Mobius Kids is presenting a stamping and collage class Tuesday and Jan. 16 from 12:30 to 3 p.m. for kids ages 7 through 12.

The children’s museum, located in River Park Square, also is presenting a multicultural holiday camp Thursday from 12:30 to 3 p.m. for kids ages 6 though 12. The class will create art projects that celebrate Kwanzaa, Ramadan, Hanukkah and Christmas.

The cost for these classes is $25 ($22 for museum members). Class size is limited, so reservations are required.
